Benj’s is a peaceful green oasis with an urban feel in the heart of Amsterdam East. The walls are filled with art from young local artists. There are green plants all over the place that made me dream of Bali. Stone and steel adds an industrial feel and it all adds up to an urban jungle setting for eating brunch like a local in Amsterdam.

The menu gave me a headache with a large variety of dishes inspired from cultures and cuisines from all over the world. Everything is beautifully prepared and the food looks as good as it tastes.

The drink menu contains fresh juices, smoothies, coffee and for the big brunch celebration, alcoholic drinks.

No meal is complete without something sweet. Not only beautiful to look at but the waffle tasted great too. I will for sure go back to Benji´s and eat like a local the next time I visit Amsterdam. It´s a popular place so a reservation is needed to skip the line.
