Carpe Diem Tourettes
Carpe Diem Tourrettes-sur-Loup
Carpe Diem in Tourrettes-sur-Loup - the owners did it - they seized the day and transformed an old village house in the heart of the wonderful medieval fairytale village of Tourrettes-sur-Loup - into this small gem of a hotel. Carpe Diem makes you want to stay forever once you have checked in.
LOCATION
In the middle of the old town of Tourrettes-sur-Loup, also known as “the violet village”. The village is violet blue during the month of March when all the small, very nice smelling flowers bloom and the village even has it´s own violet festival.
Tourrettes-sur-Lpuo is 27 km away from Nice and 36 km away from Cannes inland in the region Alpes-Maritimes. The village is very small and the distance to restaurants and sights from Carpe Diem is short.
CHARME & STYLE
Tastefully restored and decorated with a charming mix of old and new interior and details. The owners have tried to keep as much as possible from the original building and it´s furniture and added new design elements to go with the old.
The owners have a passion for Balinese interior details and these give Carpe Diem a unique touch and a relaxed feel.
ROOMS
Three rooms in total all of them suitable for families. All rooms are spacious and come with a seating area and modern designed bathrooms.
I had the room on the top floor with a lovely balcony overlooking the village and since the sight was clear, I could also see all the way to the Mediterranean Sea.
FOOD & DRINKS
Breakfast brought to the room. Wine, beer and soft drinks are available in the fridge in the room. In the room there is also a kettle and leaves from the garden to make yourself a cup of herbal tea. The hotel has a bar and restaurant that can be booked for parties.
SERVICE & FACILITIES
At Carpe Diem you are welcommed and treated as a close friend. Free WiFi in all rooms., TV, fridge and aircondition. There is a public parking space not far from Carpe Diem.
Once upon a time, staying in a small hotel meant a small run down room in a bungalow and a forgettable breakfast. Times have changed, now it´s the opposite. I wish I could have stayed longer and would love to return to Carpe Diem and the fairytale village of Tourrettes-sur-Loup.
