Mondrian Miami
Like the castle of the sleeping beauty - Mondrian Hotel Miami
Mondrian South Beach is set on the waterfront on the west side of South Beach with a great view of the Biscayne Bay. The hotels designer was apparently inspired by The Sleeping Beauty´s Castle.
LOCATION
On west avenue, 10 minutes walk from South Beach, great view of the Biscayne Bay and a beautiful place to watch the sunset.
CHARME & STYLE
White, stylish, modern and clean look with a twist. I have stayed at the MONDRIAN in LA and in NY (the NY MONDRIAN is now turned into NOMO SOHO). It is not difficult to tell that this hotel is a part of the same family.
ROOMS
The hotel is big, our room was spacious with plenty of room for 3 people. The beds were great.
SERVICE AND FACILITIES
A very nice pool with sun beds and a nice bar by the pool, perfect for the sunset. There is a spa (I did not check it out) and a gym (according to my husband it was great) or you can borrow one of the Mondrian bikes and exercise doing some sightseeing in Miami, since you are in such a great city.
FOOD AND DRINKS
We tested the continental breakfast that was included in the roomrate and it was a basic cold breakfast with bagels, cream cheese, croissants, jam, fruit and fresh-pressed, organic orange juice. We had dinner in the hotel due to late arrival and the food was really good. The MONDRIAN has a nice area indoor/outdoor for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
