Hotel Pulizer Barcelona
Pulitzer my Barcelona favorite
Barcelona is one of the most popular cities in Europe. More than ten million people stay overnight here each year. Hotel beds count for more than fifty percent of the total number of beds. In Barcelona there are so many great hotels to choose between. I have a confession to make, I keep going back to the same hotel over and over again. My favorite is Hotel Pulitzer and now I will tell you why.
Near Plaza de Catalunya, Gothic and El Born
In a quiet side street a stone throw from the busy Plaza de Catalunya (Barcelona´s most central square) and in reach of the city´s Gothic and El Born quarters. You will struggle to find a hotel much more central than the Pulitzer and also one that is better served by public transportation. There are more quiet and more atmospheric neighborhoods in Barcelona but it´s central location at the top of La Rambla, makes the Pulitzer hotel perfect for walking to all parts of the city.
Pulitzer has clean lines and a peaceful, laid back style. The style is modern with a twist and there are lots of green plants and interesting art in the hotel. Pulitzer hotel is a place to relax and to feel at home and the staff are helpful and service minded. Photo by @pulitzer
Dark wood furniture mixed with white walls and steel. I just love the jewel-like turquoise tiles in the bathrooms that gives a color boost when you enter. The toiletries are of high quality from Malin + Goetz and there is free water, a welcome cookie, tea and coffee in the rooms.

Rooftop terrace
On the sixth-floor there is a great terrace with cocktails, tapas and music. The terrace is the place to relax after a day of sightseeing, shopping or going to the beach. There is also a very stylish bar in the lobby.

Restaurant at Hotel Pulitzer
The restaurant at the Pulitzer is like a green haven in the heart of the city with green plants and palm trees. Large glass windows enhance the effect of being in a gardener´s glasshouse. The menu changes every week and has a lot of products fresh from the market in addition to organic wine. The restaurant at the hotel is open only for breakfast and lunch. In the neighborhood and in the city there are so many great options for dinner, that it´s a challenge to choose if you aren´t stying very long.
The location, the relaxed but modern style and most important the incredible roof terrace, makes this hotel very special. The Pulitzer is like a leafy, green oasis in the middle of the urban jungle. I have stayed here many times and will return again to my Barcelona favorite, the Pulitzer hotel.
