Where to see the Santorini sunset
Santorini is full of the most amazing plazes and insane views. Oia is known for it´s beautiful domes, white surroundings and amazing sunrises and spectacular sunsets. No matter where you go in Oia you`ll want to have your camera ready to snap a picture or hope somebody wants to take a picture of you.
The church domes here were not originally blue. They were painted this color to match the blue of the sky and the Aegan sea and have become the island´s trademark.
Santorini´s nickname is "the island of I do" because plenty of couples tie the knot here. Santorini is a major destination for couples from China. The do not travel halfway around the world to exchange vows but they come to Santorini and Oia to take photographs to show to their guests at the actual wedding back home. It is hard to imagine a better place to take romantic photos.
The Byzantine Castle Ruins is a popular spot for watching the sunset and sunrise and has both city and ocean view.
There are unique and colorful doors all over. Alot of them lead to nowhere.

Santorini is hardly a secret. More than two million visitors come every year to the most famous of the Greek islands and they all visit Oia at least for one day. Still it’s worth going for it’s whitewashed buildings, blue accents, steep cliffs and beautiful sunsets and sunrises that light up the sky and the sea.
