Cevicheria Lisbon

Cevicheria in Lisbon Portugal

A Cevicheria with blue and white floor tiles and a giant octopus hanging over the bar makes this one of Lisbon´s coolest places to go for lunch or dinner. A Cevicheria is a Peruvian restaurant by the famous local chef Chef Kiko. He has mixed traditional Peruvian specialties with local Portugese flavors and it was a great combo.

A Cevicheria doesn´t take reservations but there is a window at the front of the restaurant where one can order drinks from the street when standing in line. I haven´t had as good pisco since my visit to Chile one year ago!

As the name indicates this is the place for ceviche, but they also have options on the menu if raw fish is not top of mind. Do I have a spider in my spoon? No it´s the octopus looking in the “mirror”!

A Cevicheria is small more like a bistro. Seating is possible at the bar and this makes a great view of the making of the food. The atmosphere and service was great and a visit here is guaranteed to put you in a good mood. It´s Peru with a twist - I will come again!
